Below are some genuine family comments …..

Where do you start. This isn’t just a holiday it’s an experience. You are part of the family and are encouraged to participate. You are told to explore and find new things. We have visited three times with our children, first visiting when they were around 5 and 18months. They are now 14 and 9 and both loved it just as much today as they did all those years ago, if not more. The two cottages are full of charm and to a high spec and there’s the little bonus of the outdoor heated swimming pool. What more would you want having sheep wandering past whilst you take a dip. The adventure area is something out of a fairy tale come adventure playground.

To farmer Chris and Tracey, I solute you for everything you have done over the past 20 years or so, it must be hard work but the joy you bring to all is priceless.

We’ve just returned from wonderful week at North Bradbury Farm. We visited several beautiful beaches and villages. Our Son (2.5 years old) loved The Big Sheep & Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park but our best memories are of the farm itself. We loved feeding the animals everyday and playing in the playground. Alex can’t stop talking about Misty & Rosie dog and also, Moo the Shetland. Thank you so much for making our stay so special. We’ve made many treasured memories that will last a lifetime.

Andy, Helen & Alex

We have just come back from our stay at The North Bradbury Farm and I must say it exceeded our expectations. Our 21 month old son absolutely loved helping out Tracey and Chris with daily chores and enjoyed all the different play areas available on the farm. The farm, although fairly secluded and very peaceful, is well positioned with majority of tourist attractions and beautiful towns/ beaches/ villages located 30-60min drive away. There is so much to do! The cottage itself was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay for another week! We will be back!

We had a really great few days at North Bradbury Farm with our 19 month old son. It’s such a perfect set up for kids – even very little ones – as there’s so much to do on the farm and lots of stuff to see just a short car journey away. I was a bit worried that some of the activities might be wasted on him as he’s so young but he loved seeing all the animals and getting involved in the feeding, especially the lambs. Tracey and Chris were also great at adapting some of the things so that he could experience them (like having a go at sitting on a pony, even though he’s too young to ride one). One of the days we didn’t even leave the farm as there were enough different play areas (little play ground, adventure play ground, mud kitchen and fairy garden) to keep him entertained all day. The baby monitor just about reached far enough for us to relax on a sun lounger in the picnic area whilst he was having his afternoon nap. Tracey and Chris were lovely hosts, very helpful throughout the booking process, and very diligent with their covid policies. All in all, a really brilliant family holiday and an incredible first farm experience for our son.

We had a brilliant time staying on the farm with our 18 month and 3 month old boys! Farmer Chris was so patient and encouraging with the animal feeding which meant our son grew in confidence and capability, it is truly a hands on and up close experience. While we did get a few rainy days it didn’t stop the fun at all as we enjoyed the wilderness area, especially the mud kitchen. The farm is also perfectly positioned to explore, with lovely beaches and exmoor national park a short drive away. We visited Saunton sands and did the circular walk at Tarr Steps. Another highlight of the trip was eating freshly collected eggs for breakfast, the difference in colour and taste was astounding. The cottage had everything we needed for a young family and Tracy was very helpful in making sure we had the right bits – from baby bath to bouncer chair, high chairs etc. Thanks for a fabulous time and tiring our boys out so they slept and napped like a dream!

We booked both cottages for a family holiday in August. It was the best holiday we could have wished for. Farmer Chris and Tracey were so welcoming and there was nothing that we needed to leave the farm for (except the beach). The cottages were beautiful, perfectly equipped and with views of the farm from all windows. All the children (young and old) loved spending time with the animals, especially the cheeky goat Balti, who we didn’t have room in the car to smuggle home. The pool was perfect for learning to swim and also those crazy moments of splash-fun. The highlight had to be cooking marshmallows in the wilderness area but to be honest everything we did on the farm was a firm favourite for somebody in our group. Definitely the holiday of a lifetime!!

THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER! I can’t explain it any other way. Our kids, 10 and 7 have made so many memories over 7 days on the farm. For example, learning to swim, riding a horse for the first time, feeding pigs, sheep and all of the other animals on farmer Chris and Tracey’s farm.

Some of the most beautiful beaches in Devon are just a short drive away. I’d definitely recommend an evening on the beach watching the sun set!

Both Chris and Tracey give you the most warmest welcome and it’s true what they say. “May all who enter as guests, leave as friends”

This was our first visit to North Bradbury Farm Cottages and we could have not booked to go on a better UK holiday. During the uncertain times of Covid 19 there was not anything to be worried about here, Farmer Chris and Tracey put in a lot of thought and effort for everyone to feel at ease. There is so much space around to enjoy.

Our 2 children aged 6 and 3 loved feeding the animals and getting involved every morning and evening, having just one other family at the farm at the same time allows each child lots of time to handle, touch and feed each animal which is great.

There is so much to do at the farm so you can spend your day on site and not worry about going out far, my children loved the wilderness area, toasting marshmallows on the fire, looking for tadpoles and playing with the mud kitchen.
The pool is lovely and warm and the children loved having this to themselves too.

We had a wonderful week away staying at North Bradbury farm. We have been many times before and as usual there was so much fun to be had! The children (14 years and 12 years) loved feeding the animals in the morning and evenings, had lots of fun in the outside pool and on the zip wire, trampoline, new tyre swings and wishing tree. The children also did pony rides, table tennis and enjoyed playing with the puppies. There is so much to entertain us at the farm we could easily have stayed there for the whole time and stayed another week!

We did venture out and visited Crows point, Saunton beach, Rosemoor and South Molton market. There are lots of things to do nearby if you want to go out for day trips.

Chris and Tracey are fantastic, amazing hosts and so friendly and kind. We have visited for many years and they feel like our friends. They have worked very hard to make sure everything was Covid safe and all the necessary guidance was in place which made us all feel very safe during our stay.
We can’t wait to go back soon!

What an amazing time we had, such a special place and Tracey and Chris made us so welcome. Our children (6 and 8) could not be dragged away from the farm nor pack enough into the day to exhaust all that was on offer. The twice daily rounds were such a highlight, learning so much about the animals and their personalities and habits (like Moo the pony who wants to break into the duck pen each time), the play areas are fantastic, we loved the campfire for our sausages and marshmallows, the pool was so warm and we loved seeing the sheep and goats peering in at us while we swam. Even the table tennis in the barn was made extra fun with Matey and Moo leaning over the partition to spectate. We slept so well in the amazingly comfy beds and came home laden with delicious home grown Bramley apples, delicious eggs collected by the children and a wonderful leg of lamb. The children and we haven’t stopped talking about our adventures since we got back and we can’t wait to make a return visit. Thank you, Tracey and Chris!

This is our 4th trip to North Bradbury farm and we had a fab stay. I couldn’t think of a better option during Covid times than staying on the farm with its multitude of things to do and the reassurance that Tracey and Chris are on top of the hygiene and cleanliness.
Activity wise there is masses on the farm: twice daily animal feeding, walks, fairy garden, pond dipping, adventure playground, horse riding, zip wiring, swimming pool, toddler play zone, older kid activities – camp fire, ping pong. Tracey and Chris are friendly and welcoming hosts. Off the farm Tracey and Chris know local attractions that are off the beaten track to avoid crowds. And of course in quieter times you have beaches of North Devon, RHS Rosemoor, Tarka trail, Dartington Crystal etc etc!
They obviously have done masses of research and make appropriate changes from hygiene and cleanliness. This is reassuring.
All in all, a great stay. We’ll be back.

Had a brilliant holiday at North Bradbury Farm this September. We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and it was their idea of heaven, especially after lockdown! Chris and Tracey could not have been more welcoming and put more effort into giving us a lovely holiday. Everything was absolutely immaculate and the kids also loved messing around in the mud kitchen and the stream. I can honestly say I thought my 3 year old was going to burst with pride when at the end of the week she got a prize for feeding the animals. We’ve had to feed a lot of toy sheep, goats and horses since we came home!

We recently came home from another brilliant week at North Bradbury Farm. Tracey and Chris continue to pour so much thought and fun into their farm, which gives their many regular guests plenty of new things to discover (the new pond dipping area, tyre swing and absolutely wonderful fairy garden to name but a few additions this year.) Alongside this, it is clear also that all of the necessary rules and restrictions have been carefully observed to accommodate the current pandemic, and these have been clearly communicated to guests in advance so that you know what to expect when you arrive. Our beautiful and immaculate cottage, the warmest of welcomes, the lovely pool, the fun feeding runs, selfies with Balti the goat and of course the much loved pony rides, all delivered with the usual charm and humour – just with the additions of masks, a few extra necessary precautions and plenty of anti bac spray! Our perfect, socially distanced holiday. Anyone wondering whether it is possible to safely get away should not hesitate further. There is so much to see and do within a short drive of the farm, plenty of which can be done easily whilst observing social distancing rules. We can’t wait to return again next year.

We had yet another brilliant week at North Bradbury Farm. First time as a family of 5 with our 5 year old, 3 year old and 5 month old.
We were slightly anxious about the effect the Covid restrictions might have had on our holiday but really didn’t need to have been – Farmer Chris and Tracey had put so much thought and energy into how to ensure this had the least impact on our holiday and it really showed. We only wore masks for the animal feeding and pony rides which the children had absolutely no problem with at all, and the farm shop on site was open for all the delicious meat from the farm as usual. There were new play spaces for the children including a fairy garden, tyre swing and den building area, along with the regular adventure playgrounds, mud kitchen and zip-wire which meant we could play even more on the farm than usual if we were anxious about going out and about. Farmer Chris and Tracey took it all in their stride, keeping in touch with us before arrival to let us know what the changes were likely to be (the government advice seemed to change on a daily basis).
As usual we had the best time! We spent most of our time on the farm as there was just so much for the children to do but also visited Saunton Sands beach and the Tarr Steps in the nearby Exmoor National Park.
The highlights this year were our 3 year pony trekking for the first time, helping Farmer Chris with the animal feeding twice a day, the fairy garden and the mud kitchen. Although when we asked our daughters what they liked best about their holiday the answer was a very firm “Farmer Chris and Farmer Tracey!”
It really a wonderful family holiday – we’re already excited about coming back next year!

Katherine, Chris, Elizabeth & Matilda

What a wonderful stay we’ve had again! Kids have had the best time. Visited Exmoor Zoo, Lynton Steam train, Ilfracombe aquarium, Quince Honey farm to name but a few ! But the best fun was on the farm itself, playing ball with Misty, mud kitchen, feeding the animals with Farmer Chris. Thankyou Tracey and Chris for making us feel so welcome again. Can’t wait for the next time!

Shaun, Liezel, Hailey & Ethan

Our 2nd trip to North Bradbury farm , this time with Grandpa, Uncle Tom and Auntie Emma (next door in The Stables) to celebrate Grandpa’s 60th Birthday !

We had a fantastic time as expected, first time using the pool which we all loved, kids into the swing of animal feeding everyday, pony rides – first time on a pony for George ! Great fun in the mud kitchen , adventure playground and enjoying the farm shop produce ! Another great meal at The Bell in Chittlehampton and a great walk at Crow Point beach – really recommend.

James, Emily, Phoebe & George

We all had a fantastic time on the farm. It was such a great opportunity for Linden to meet all the animals. l think he particularly enjoyed moving the ducklings to their new enclosure and collecting the duck eggs from the pond. We went on a couple of trips top Saunton Sands and Tarr Steps – both recommended !

Thankyou Tracey and Chris for such a lovely holiday. We were certainly very lucky with the weather. We hope to visit again soon !

Fiona, Michael & Linden

We’ve had a wonderful family mini – break, Fhankyou.Finn has loved feeding the animals and meeting puppies and ducklings. He has gained confidence with the dogs, pigs and the horses. We’ve loved the play areas and have been dam building and made Dinner on the campfire. We’ve been very comfortable in The Stables, great toys and the chair for baby Teddy has been great. Finn loved his farm bedtime stories. And what a treat for the whole family to get a warm swim outside in October !

Sarah, James, Finn & Teddy

Yet another amazing holiday here with you guys on the farm- lots of exciting things from new pigs, moving ducklings, pony riding, clay pigeon shooting , mud kitchen and the adventure playground. Fynn was especially proud to be big enough this year for the zip wire. We loved being able to cook in the wilderness area and of course having a dip in the pool. Days out – Westward Ho!,Exmoor Zoo and Combat Museum.

That’s all we did as we love all the things for us to do here ! Thank you once again!

Damian, Nicki & Fynn

Thanks for a lovely weekend. We were so lucky to have such gorgeous weather over the past couple of days ! At thirty two weeks pregnant it has been a bit of a struggle to keep up with feeding the animals, tractor rides, swimming, pony rides , wilderness area fun and trips to the adventure playground, but the boys have absolutely loved all of the activities and l have found snippets of time to rest along the way. Jonah loved the routine of animal feeding time with Farmer Chris and l am so pleased that both boys had a go on the ponies today ! The farm shop is a great idea – had everything we needed ! Thanks for a lovely stay, already looking forward to coming back in the future !

Whoop Whoop ! We are delighted to be back for visit number 9 !!

Not enough time to do everything we wanted but squeezed in a visit to Knightshayes Court ( National Trust ) as we love the gardens there. First visit to Tarr Steps and a great discovery of Liscombe Farm lce Cream Parlour – as we left we watched the cows being milked. The weather was kind to us this year so we escaped the muddy fields. Had as lovely a time as ever cuddling lambs and fluffy ducklings. Cassidy had a wonderful time implementing his riding skills on Sampson and enjoyed his independence which usually involved sticks, water and stones : Sad to leave but looking forward to seeing you next year as we leave with our haul of delicious golden eggs.

Angela, Ben & Cassidy

Thankyou so much for a wonderful holiday ! We have had a fantastic break. The girls had a great time feeding the animals , picking apples for the ponies and piglets and building dams. Emily’s highlight was going on her first pony ride and Jenny’s was moving and launching the ducklings. The pool was amazing and the facilities are beautiful.
Thank you again, so much !

Craig, Sophie, Jenny & Emily

We all enjoyed another visit to North Bradbury Farm ! It was a lovely Easter week – the kids loved the Easter Egg Hunt and getting hands on with the animals  …duck launching, lamb rugby and duck skittles (!) not to be forgotten! Holly loved helping with the horses…Away from the farm we enjoyed visits to Croyde and walks around Simonsbath and Morte Point – my favourite.

Thanks for another great family holiday !

Andrea, Brynn, Holly & Ryan

Thank you so much for another wonderful family holiday at North Bradbury Farm. This is our fourth visit and it just gets better every year. We’ll definitely be back. Our four year old Ellie arrived frightened of animals, particularly dogs and by the end of the week she had become inseparable from Misty and Rosie. She really surprised us with how quickly she joined in with the animal feeding and loved it – you are both fantastic with kids, no wonder they love it here. Adventures this week included crabbing at Appledore, rock pooling at Croyde, a beautiful walk and fishing with the kiddy nets at Watersmeet as well as duck day , pony riding , duckling cuddles , duck launching and Dinner in the Wilderness Area on the farm.
See you next year!

Laura, Jake ,George & Ellie

We’ve had such an amazing first stay here and are all so sad to be leaving today. This place has been perfect for our two year old twins, with so many thoughtful touches here and there to make things that much easier for us. We will definitely be recommending you to other twin parents. Henry and Cora have loved helping with feeding the animals and are certainly going to miss Misty and Rosie, as well as ourselves ! lt’s been so lovely to watch their confidence with the animals grow.

Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday !

Hannah, Rob, Henry and Cora

Thank you so much for a terrific visit! We have all had a very relaxing stay. All of us have enjoyed having a peek into life on the farm. Both of you have shared so much knowledge with us , and in particular the way in which you engaged with the boys has made the visit so special, Jack, Ben and Dan have loved every aspect and we will all miss feeding time, fire starting and maybe even `duck – day !’
We certainly hope to return next year.

Dave, Brooke, Ben, Jack & Dan

Thank you Chris and Tracey for another fun filled week at your farm ! We always have such a good time and the children don’t want to go home. We loved feeding time, the pony rides , the firepit BBQ in the wilderness area and the kids loved the pool !  Thank you for having us ….until next time !

P.S The kids will miss Misty and Rosie

Phil, Helen, Harry & Millie

We all had a fabulous time – so much to do – swimming, feeding the animals , campfire , table football and air hockey. The children have loved the pony rides – a new hobby made on the farm.
We will miss it all very much and hope to see you again soon.

What a fantastic holiday – we all had an amazing time !  Pony rides, clay pigeon shooting, duck days , feeding and being close to the animals , a brilliant family holiday ! Grace loved helping out with the horses, especially riding and grooming and overcoming her fear of feeding them apples! We will definitely be back , see you next year !
Thank you for making us feel so welcome !

Vicky, Paul, Grace & Jack

Thankyou for a wonderful week. Holidays as they should be – mud, rain and lots of puddles. The mud kitchen was a favourite ! Thanks Farmer Chris and  Tracey for your endless patience with Harrison.

Definitely be returning !

Laura, Mark & Harrison

We had a fantastic week full of adventure. Beach trips to Croyde, Woolacombe, golf at Saunton , a long walk and pub lunch at The Bell and a beautifully scenic drive up Exmoor to Tarr Steps. Well worth the journey on a clear day. And then of course the farm itself which is brilliant. So much to see, do and learn. Farmer Chris and Tracey were brilliant with the children. Max wants to come back on Monday, especially now he has the t-shirt.

Neil, Elizabeth, Max & Connie

What a wonderful week we had on the farm! Tracey and Chris were wonderful hosts with brilliant tips on things to do and places to see. Tess will always remember helping Farmer Chris and holding the chicks and ducklings. The food from the farm shop was superb. We hope we can do the North Bradbury duck justice at home. lt was also great to have lovely neighbours.
We hope to come back soon

Keith, Catherine & Tess

l can`t express in words just how perfect this holiday is. The accommodation is spotless and modern throughout including all the thoughtful touches such as stairgates and baby crockery, booster seats, cots and of course homemade scones and clotted cream for Mum & Dad.

Feeding time at the farm is twice a day and the animals were perfectly chosen for the toddlers including goats, pigs, chickens & ducks. My two year old went for a ride on Pudding the pony ( which she loved ). My husband went clay pigeon shooting and l enjoyed regular long soaks in the bath with my book ! The farm is three quarters of an hours drive away from many beautiful beaches including lfracombe, Saunton, Woolacombe, Westward Ho etc. Barnstaple is just down the road and there are a lot of farmers markets throughout the week. There is just so much to do ( too much to mention ).And lets not forget Tracey and Chris who ensured we all had a great time.

A fabulous holiday destination.

Cath, Mark & Skye

What Chris & Tracey have achieved is second to none. The accommodation is full of rustic charm with all the mod cons you could wish for , not to mention all the baby equipment that`s provided to free up valuable space in your car ! lt’s setting is beautiful and we loved taking part feeding the farm animals. The location is also perfect for exploring Exmoor and the beautiful North Devon Coast. We took advantage of Tracey`s gorgeous homecooked frozen meals and the fresh eggs.

We can highly recommend North Bradbury Farm and will definitely be returning……

Steve, Charlie & lsabella

We have returned from the most fabulous week at Chris and Tracey`s cottages. The weather wasn`t great but this made no difference at all. Our two year old daughter absolutely loved it – feeding the animals twice a day , collecting the eggs and riding Pudding the pony ! lt was amazing watching her confidence develop over the week around the animals – she was terrified of then at the start of the week but was climbing in with the pigs by the last day! We also took our twin 6 month old boys and Tracey and Chris provided us with everything we could ask for – 2 bumbo’s , 2 cots , plenty of toys etc.

We have already put in a request for a booking next year. l couldn`t recommend North Bradbury Farm highly enough.

Natsha , Simon , Maddie , Rupert & Toby

The best holiday we have had with our two year old , and that`s despite a four month old baby waking frequently through the night. The cottages are fully equipped for toddlers and babies , loads of indoor and outdoor toys , even like a Bumbo! You can buy food from the farm so you don`t have to cook.

Tracey and Chris are fantastic with the children. My usual clingy toddler went off happily to feed the animals with them. We enjoyed it so much that we booked our return visit before leaving.

My only hesitation to recommend it would be that other people may fill up the weeks and prevent my return !

Robin, Shareen, Cameron, Leila

North Bradbury Farm is the perfect farm holiday and reminded us of farm holidays from our childhood.

The barn is really well equipped for babies , including toys & DVD`s. The best bit was the welcome from Tracey & Chris who are fantastic and know everything about the area. We had some wonderful days out, thanks to their advice. There are even frozen dinners in the farm shop.

We can`t fault it, we`ll be back next year!
